The Convención Hispana Economic Development committee and the Hispanic Business Center are seeking small existing or startup businesses to apply to the Convención Hispana 2016 Business Pitch Competition. The goal of this competition is to create and accelerate economic impact that our local small businesses have in the Greater Cleveland community.
The Convención Hispana 2016 Business Pitch Competition is looking to award $2,500 to one business for startup or growth capital. In addition to funding, the award recipient will receive one-on-one mentoring and advising from expert Business Advisors and experienced business owners who will help you make dynamic strides in your business.
Applicants must submit a business plan and Use of Funds document no later than Friday, September 30th, 2016 to email@example.com. It must be clear how you plan to use the funds and how the funds will make a difference in your business. The business must be established with a business checking account at the time the funds are dispersed, as the checks will be made payable to the business. The final round of the competition requires that the applicants present at Convención Hispana 2016 on October 8th where a live judging and award presentation will take place. After the competition, the applicant must remain engaged monthly with their Business Advisor for the first year.
In order to respond to this Request for Proposals:
1) Cover sheet with Name, Address, Phone, Email, Business name and statement of purpose.
2) No more than 4 (four) page business plan
3) Must provide Uses of Funds Document
4) Work with the Hispanic Business Center to review the application
5) Be available October 8th to present, if your business moves forward to the next round.
