19 Apr A Closer Look At: Mina Radhakrishnan, Product Manager Extraordinaire
When people talk of recent startups that have reached scale, Uber is one of the first names that comes to mind. Founded in March, 2009, Uber is a mobile-based transportation network that has taken not only the U.S. by storm, but also countries abroad. Now over 1,000 employees strong, Uber brought Mina on board when it had just twenty employees – and ultimately, Mina ascended to run product for the on-the-rise upstart.
Of course, Mina’s career isn’t defined by her time at Uber. In fact, she’s now the resident “Product Ninja” at Cowboy Ventures, a seed-stage venture firm with a studded portfolio that includes Dollar Shave Club, Product Hunt, and others. She was also one of the first Product Managers at ModCloth – and also spent time at major firms like Google and Goldman Sachs.
Chances are, if you’re a product person that scours the web for product-focused talks or blogs that feature product leaders, you’re already familiar with Mina and her work. Mina has given well-received talks at places like TwilioCon and #ProductSF. She’s also been featured on CBS News, has appeared in podcasts, and is generally a go-to person when it comes to thought leadership around product.

If you follow Mina on Twitter, you may occasionally get a product #protip or some sharing of her favorite products (in addition, of course, to her views on fashion and general pop culture):
Hadn’t used @flipboard in a while and impressed anew by how awesome it is. Makes lighter reading a delight. Now I want a @Pocket integration

If you aren’t yet familiar with Mina, though, and haven’t had the chance to see her speak in person — you’ll be in for a treat if you plan your trip to Industry 2015. Mina will be speaking with over a dozen other product visionaries who will be coming in from all different places to converge in Cleveland for two days designed specifically for product leaders.
