If there’s anybody that knows about the “Lean Startup” concept, it’s Trevor Owens. It was back in 2008 that Dave McClure turned Trevor Owens onto the concept that Eric Ries was just beginning to uncover. There was no “Lean Startup” book at the time — just a collection of blog posts and research that Eric was doing. Yet, Trevor became enamored with the topic. It wasn’t long before he started conducting workshops to help startups understand and implement these “lean” principles.
Jump ahead a few years, and Trevor has become one of the most sought-after experts on the topic. His “Lean Startup Machine” workshop series has become a favorite by entrepreneurs. Yet, his advice has not just stopped at the startup stage. In fact, large corporations that have found his work to be especially helpful. His book, The Lean Enterprise, helps these very corporations think and act more like a startup. As a result, they’re able to be more nimble, produce better products, and act with the kind of speed and efficiency that they’ve always only dreamed was possible.
